i’ve tested my pair of GB guitars through every climate in Australia. From the dry central Australian desert, to the cold winters of Tasmania.
I’m the proud owner of a matching pair; mini and full size with a florentine cutaway. The timber types with chosen at the same time to be matching and are truely a statement for a musician trying to break through the masses.
Not only do they turn heads in appearance but have become absolute work horses across my non-stop touring life on the road and have inspired my first album with their beautiful bright tones and richness the bottom end

Roots to rock
I don’t know where I’d be without my GB guitar built by Geoff Baker. Getting to hang with Geoff and Jack in early 2024 and choose the timbers (including Tasmanian River Oak) that became this guitar was something special. I call it Anchor — and it really is. The tone, balance, and feel are incredible. Through the LR Baggs Anthem it sounds closer to a mic’d studio guitar than anything I’ve ever played, and the playability is effortless right across the neck. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are next level. This one’s not going anywhere — it’s my forever guitar.

a Text to Geoff after Chris received his guitar:
Ps. I’ve taken the guitar to Woodford and GTs Noosa and it’s everything and more than I’ve even dreamt of. It’s is amazing. Tonal balance with some magical overtones. Playability is like my fingers running through silk. Love the blend of all Pick ups that give me the warm body of mids and punch on the low ends It’s a masterpiece!
